My approach with abstract works is to clear my mind and connect with the spirit. Often my intention begins with a color palette in mind however alters through the process and sometimes captures darkness when I initially was seeking light. The process is always surprising and sometimes the piece will take months to complete. 

My technique usually begins with acrylic paint application, sometimes I’ll add tissue paper for added texture and then I’ll finish with layers of oil and glazing. I’ll scrape portions of the paint off in order to find the beauty beneath or create objects with my palette knife that present nature such a leaves or flowers. 

What I project onto the canvas is glimpses of natural elements from nature, movement from the spirit and the silent whispers from within. There’s an angelic resemblance in my works that I hope people can tap into.
