Kristine loves capturing the expressions of animals on canvas. Her first art exhibit at the Leighton Art Centre sold her first chicken painting on opening day of the show. That was the beginning of an incredible journey of painting all kinds of animals.

Kristine creates most of her bird/animal paintings with impressionist or abstract backgrounds. She creates the background freely
and then applies the creature she feels drawn too. Sometimes the background creation sits for weeks before the bird or animal speaks to her.
"Once the background is ready for wildlife it tells me who wants to join the canvas, and that's when the emotional connection ties together."
